The other day I saw on TV a really awesome earphone. Not for sale in most of Europe and certainly not in Holand.

What to do if you want it anyways. Look on Marktplaats.nl. The Dutch version of E-Bay. And YES, there it was and for half of the price of the new one.

And it was for me, obviously. I went for it yesterday. The seller lives in Amsterdam, Sloterdijk. Only an hourly drive on a Sunday.

It is not only looking very good but also reduces the surround noice. So even with the radio tuned on in the car, people can hear me now. Great!

Finally. And I’m very happy with it!

Yesterday the last layer of varnish was done. Awesome!
The furniture is going to be replaced on Monday. Just before christmas my livingroom is good again.

Briljant comment on one of the subjects mastering the news these days in Holland.

Police is on strike for more salary and 2 important soccergames gould not go on last Sunday. The topguy from the soccer organisation called police officers ‘spoiled little men’. This cartoon says that we always thought that the soccer players were the spoiled ones.�

I was almost dribbling on this floor. It took them not even an hour to make it. The only problem is that I forgot to ask them to take the cover off the heating. Now I can’t turn the heating on. It’s getting colder and colder. I just have to go to a restaurant tonight, can’t help that.

10 days ago I wrote my last post. Sorry for that. I’m afraid it is because I don’t like to admit that the diet is not going very well. But then again, I’m still trying.

And now about the good stuf, the new floor in the living room. Nothing wrong with that. Today they started with the finishing touch. The fist layer, ment to strongly attach the upper colour layer to the wooden basis, is done today. They did it in exactly one (1) hour. Just a very small floor it is for them. Tomorrow the colour will be poured and thursday and friday the toplayers to protect the colour will be adjusted. On sunday I’m able to put the fourniture back. That is, if I can find stong helpers.

You also can see the new steps. Pretty huh?

This is how it looks right now. Beautifull already. It only needs now covering the floor with Betonlook. That’s planned for within 10 days. Just before Christmas I can put the furniture back again.

The goal was looking outsite from the couch and seeing the water and the boats. Did I reach this goal, no. Is it beautifull nevertheless, yes.

Because of the hight of the house (fourth floor) it is only possible to see the harbour in a chair very near to the window. But I can see the houses on the other site of the harbour now, instead of only sky in all its changing colours. And I gained so much more space for storing stuff. And did I mention that it looks beautifull? Well, you can see that by yourself.

Well, they did arrive at 7.30 am. And I actually was all rised and shining.

It took them almost 2 hours to get all the material and gear up. And then, after coffee and a slice of bread, they started. They almost finished it today but because of the birthday of some Santa Clause they had to stop early. Tomorrow another early start and they will be ready by noon.

Tomorrow at 7.30 am (!) they arrive with my new floor. At the end of the day after tomorrow I can sit on my couch and see the harbour. A major change. I’m thrilled that it’s finally going to happen.

And I’m ready for it. Just set the alaram, that’s all.

Yes, again I’m going to loose weight. The story of my life
Of course not without my inseparable laptop.

I found an, at first sight, remarkably good programme that is going to show me my progress at every angle. Litterally because it also shows the measurements. It also takes into account that you loose callories when working out. I’m going to try it for 10 days and if I think it’s worthwhile I’ll buy it.

My goal is to loose 9 kilos in 3 months. That’s heavy and I’ll keep you posted if it’s working for me.  More feasable would be 6 months but that sounds so very long from now. But 9 kilo’s less anytime would make me happy and feel better.

Although I’m a little embarrassed that I gained weight again which proves I can’t really resist sweets, I do tell this on the internet because I hope it stimulates me to go on and really do it.
