Wanted to accelerate my MacBook Pro. First thing was the memory from 1 tot 2 GB. Makes everything work really faster. Second was the hard disk. The old one was 80 MB and had about 5 MB left. Not much anymore.

I decided to buy the best possible at this moment. Which turned out to be a 320 GB hard disk with some more good specs. And then the de decision; do I do this myself? I did and saved myself more than 100 euros. It was dead easy and almost as fast as the youtube movie

Even putting back the backup is nothing with a mac! Some clicks and some waiting… ready.

And all that after I had done a major technical job on board…. Wel, not that major but for me it seems like that. Moved the waterfilter to a place that can can be reached and handled more easily. Repaced waterhose and all that.

Every summer the centre of Rotterdam is crowded with people who come to see the Caribbean Carnival. A very colorful and aspecially loud happening.

Yesterday while sailing along the road we, Theo and Rick and I, could not see much. We could hear it allright though. Thats why we moored the boat and went ashore to see the parade. It was at the end of the day, people were tired but still dancing.

I love these old boats so much I drive for hours to see them. So yesterday I went to Meppel. There was a gathering this weekend. Beautifull. Afterwords in the garden in Dalfsen. Hot, hot, hot is was yesterday. But I had a good time.

They are really good at it. One is writing down what the other 2 think the right word is.

What did I tell ye…

This is the result of the snorking lessons.

The other weekend I was in the mountains with my family. Obviously there are no mountains in the Netherlands, it’s all in the name, so this was abroad… Belgium.

Beautiful scenery and a lovely weekend where my mother and I leaurned my nieces snorkling in the (cold) swimmingpool. They are fast learners and enjoyed it very much.

We sat on the porch, looking at the rain or enjoying the sunshine.

What a lovely evening we had.

At top of it all the sunset was awesome.

There was only one thing, he sang a little slow, so we did it for him.

Last weekend I was with my georgeous nieces. You know them from pictures below.

They made me a gift. A key ring. But not just a key ring, no… one with a meaning.
You see at the picture the paperclips with the beads? This is the meaning of the colours:

Red: love, power, fire
Blue: trustworthy, cool, water
Green: ease, nature
Cherries: eat more fruit

Great huh, when you just know these things when you are 11 and 7 years old.
